These two Monarch butterflies
know exactly how to make
music.

They fly in tandem
over the flower border,
over the fountain,

swoop down and hesitate

then soar into the air
above my head

and out of sight,
still flying together.

They know exactly
how to make music
with their wings

and they do it
with incredible

ease.
